Stakeholders

The Aviation industry recognizes numerous stakeholder groups, including aircraft and components manufacturers, airline operators, MRO’s, aviation authorities, airports, air traffic control and academics. Different use-cases will involve different stakeholders.   For example, Fig. 1 shows the rotable part pool use-case, with the principal stakeholders identified. This illustration has been adopted from a model developed by IATA. Other models (e.g. from SAE HM-1) may also be considered in particular cases. 

For each accepted use-case, a convenient way to identify stakeholders is to draw the interaction model as in Fig. 1.  Each stakeholder role must be described in terms of the processes it performs and how it interacts with other stakeholders across a value chain.  Appendix A describes an approach.
