Upon joining IDCA, a member is expected to sign, and subsequently comply with the terms of the membership agreement. 

Membership in IDCA comes with privileges and responsibilities, and the rules of membership are those determined by the members and laid out in this charter. There are two levels of membership:  Full and Associate.  

Full membership 

At this level of membership in IDCA, the member enjoys the following benefits 

  1. Access to- and usage of data as appropriate*. Inclusion in all member activities 

  2. Invitation to participate in Committees and in Subgroups 

  3. The right to vote on any Consortium business 

  4. Candidature for membership of the Board of Directors 

  5. The right to serve in a leadership capacity in any Committee or Subgroup 

The annual dues for the Full Membership will be set by the Leadership Team based on the financial needs of the consortium.  The dues can be modified from time to time by the Leadership Team based on the recommendation of the Membership Committee. 

Associate membership 

At this level of membership in IDCA, the member enjoys the following benefits 

  1. Access to- and usage of data as appropriate*. Inclusion in all member activities 

  2. Invitation to participate in Committees and in Subgroups 

Associate membership excludes 

  1. The right to vote on any Consortium business 

  2. Candidature for membership of the Board of Directors 

  3. The right to serve in a leadership capacity in any Committee or Subgroup 

The annual dues for the Associate Membership will be set by the Leadership Team based on the financial needs of the consortium.  The dues can be modified from time to time by the Leadership Team based on the recommendation of the Membership Committee. 

Note that, depending on the type of data (open, restricted, confidential, etc.), access and usage may be subject to the terms of a separate data agreement between two or more members. The membership agreement may determine the rules of engagement for reaching a data agreement. Hereto IDCA may provide template data and NDA agreements. Individual members are free to negotiate additional terms or conditions when establishing data agreements.
