Fabrice Villaumé received his Engineering MSc degree from ENAC (the leading French aeronautics and aviation university in Europe) in 1998, with a specialization in air transport, aircraft systems design and automatic control. He went on to complete a Ph.D. in nonlinear automatic control and what is known now as "Artificial Intelligence" at the Toulouse University of Sciences and LAAS-CNRS in 2002. Moreover, he graduated from HEC Paris in 2010 with an Executive MBA.

Since joining Airbus in 1998, Fabrice has held various roles in Engineering, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Innovation and in Customer Services where is currently the Head of Digital Services Business Growth and Airbus Leader of the Digital Alliance formed with Delta Air Lines and Ge Digital Aviation Software. As co-inventor of Brake-To-Vacate (BTV) and Runway Overrun Prevention System (ROPS) now largely deployed on the in-service Airbus fleet, Fabrice earned various awards and in particular the prestigious Medal from the French Air & Space Academy in 2012.

Being a true fan of aviation, he is also a VFR Private Pilot.
