After several overseas positions, Olivier Savin joined the Safran group in 1992 and started at Messier Services as finance manager, then sales manager, before being named head of MRO marketing, and then head of international joint ventures and subsidiaries. In 1998, Olivier was named general manager of Snecma Morocco Engine Services (involved in creating the new CFM56 maintenance JV in Casablanca between Snecma & Royal Air Maroc). In 2002 he became general manager of Snecma Services engines repair plant in Châtellerault, then EVP Repair business unit.

Olivier joined CFM International in 2008, as EVP, leading all CFM56 & LEAP engine programs for Snecma. In 2011, he was appointed Safran EVP on an innovative concept called electric green taxiing system; appointed as chairman of the new Joint Venture between Honeywell & Safran. In 2015 he was named EVP for Strategic Development (including business development, strategy, & research and technology). From 2017 to 2020, he managed the Safran Nacelles Support & Services Division as EVP Customer Support . He was also named BPO of Safran Group as Customer Support & Services referent for all divisions.

Since 2021, he has been managing the digital transformation of the Safran Group as VP of Digital Customer Sales Support & Services.
